LENS Therapy

What is LENS?

Low Energy Neurofeedback System," is a type of neurofeedback treatment that uses very weak electromagnetic signals to gently stimulate the brain, aiming to restore balance in brainwave patterns and improve mental function by addressing issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and traumatic brain injury; it's considered a non-invasive and painless therapy where electrodes are placed on the scalp to measure brain activity and deliver a subtle feedback signal to promote self-regulation within the brain.

  • Mechanism:

It works by measuring brainwave activity through EEG sensors and then sending a very low-intensity electromagnetic signal back to the brain, which is thought to help the brain "reset" itself and move away from dysfunctional patterns.

  • Non-invasive:

No needles or drugs are involved, and the stimulation is barely noticeable to the patient.

  • Potential benefits:

May help with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and other conditions associated with brainwave dysregulation.

  • Treatment process:

Typically involves short sessions over several weeks, where the patient sits comfortably with electrodes placed on their scalp while the LENS system delivers the feedback signal.
